For this assignment, my class and I were required to create a plaster mass along with the mold, for that, I originally planned out a 4×4 mass. However after drawing & finalising the sketch,
I was unable to create a mold that was exactly 4×4. Therefore I created a mold that was 7.5 inch long by 4 inches high. That way I could include both masses.
One mistake I made during the casting process of the project was not securing the molds within my mold, therefore some of the plaster had leaked into the foam boards, making the shapes a little irregular. If I had the facilities/tools to improve this project, I would sand the edges down to make it more appealing and rebuild my entire mold.
Nice result, the piece came out rough but intriguing. I like the juxtaposition between the two forms and the architectural reference.
