The research I did for my ARS final research paper was very helpful for me in the design process of my senior year thesis. I was able to apple the research directly to my work. My research involved looking into World War II rationing, the Utility Scheme, and the Make do and Mend campaign. The Make do and Mend campaign was probably the most beneficial aspect of my research pertaining to design. Rationing was applied to my thesis on a more conceptual basis. This project better helped me understand the history of the fashion industry as I also looked into the Industrial Revolution. I plan on continuing my research on this subject matter and furthering it.
