Bridge 2 Project: Bader AlQahtani

For my Bridge 2 Project, I decided to make a book that included some of Bader’s memories that sort of shaped his identity. I thought this was best expressed through a book format and I wanted to play around with InDesign and sort of illustrate my first book.
The cover page includes his name in Arabic, indicating he is from an Arabic speaking country. There is also an 8-bit font that alludes to his fascination with video games. The second and third pages are just a simple introduction to who he is.
The fourth and fifth pages are about his hometown Dhahran and what his home life was like. In the sixth and seventh pages, it explains his journey with video games as well as what his social life was like, without getting uncomfortably personal.
The end cover is a stylized design of his name, once again establishing that this is who he is, as well as the book containing memories that shape his identity.

I had the intent to print out the actual book, but after so many printing issues (and $5 worth of wasted printing points!) I resorted to creating a digital ‘pitch’ layout.
