Project #6: What Matters

November 11th, 2018:

I made new friends from my drawing class. I’m so grateful for the group I was put into for this project because we all got along so well. So well, in fact, that our interests are so similar. During our lunch at the grey dog, we all happened to order mac and cheese with different sides. During our conversation, we talked about our upbringings, music, and the prompts given to us from Drawing/Imaging. I think it was interesting that when a certain song (I believe it was Sweater Weather by The Neighborhood), we all immediately started talking about a similar time in our lives, and despite our contrasting backgrounds, we all shared a similar experience. We used the inspiration of our meals to create the motif that threads our pieces together, centralizing on the macaroni print.
