After my move to NYC, I’ve been forced to pick and sort through items that will get the most of its use from me. The items I chose are symbols of my everyday life and are items I carry with me every single day or that I use every single day. In terms of materiality, I try not to own things just to own them. I have a few things that I bought for myself after eyeing it for multiple months, but mainly these items all bring me some sort of joy. Some items (like the cigarettes) makes me question its necessity to be in my collection. How did I acquire this? Does it need to be replenished? How often do I go out of my way just to have it with me?
