With my zine, I wanted to take a unique approach that told the story of my chosen place in unique way that intrigued the reader. Having chosen the High Line, an area with rich history dating back almost two hundred years ago, there was a lot of historical time periods to incorporate. With this in mind I decided that I would have my zine’s story revolve around the life of a character known as “the Wanderer”. This character is the embodiment of the High Line’s entire history and tells the reader this history through his perspective. My goal for the design and layout of the zine was to incorporate the photography and writing elements in a cohesive fashion. The ultimate message that I wanted to portray with this zine is the true power and influence that art has in the world around us. The High Line is the ideal embodiment of this statement.
