For the first faze of this project, we had to create two mood boards, one about the style of music our singer/band is a member of and the second about the singer/band itself. For my partner and I, our singer was Hank Williams and the song is Lost Highway and the music style was country. We did research on the history of country music in the 1940s which Hank was primarily famous in. And then we did research on the Hank Williams himself and learned about his personal life as well as his music career.

In this mood board, we included photos of different albums from the other country singers of the time period and included some images of guitars. We also added some photos of the vibes we felt when listening to country music.

We included images of himself as well as concert posters and images of his family life. We also included images of his band, Hank Williams and the Drifting Cowboys.
Next we chose 12 images to work with that would need to be incorporated into the designs for a package set including a CD with the song as well as a poster, t-shirt, and other items. 
These are the 12 images we chose. We chose some images of country music concert posters from the past as well as recent ones. we also included images of the midwest and what the south looked like in the 1930s-40s. A lot of images that were chosen were the old vinyl covers of country artists because we wanted to use the fonts and styles of these designs. Out of the 12 images we chose the 6 that we must include in our designs of the music set is the middle yellow concert poster, the image of a Mesa under a starry sky, the 3 country vinyl covers in the 3rd set and the image of a highway because of the song title which is Lost Highway. Next week we must produce three design concepts for a poster, CD cover, and t-shirt set.
