Outline for paper about yin and yang relating to adult and teen

For my paper, I wish to delve into the aspects of the relationship between the adult and the adolescences. I also always wanted to go deeper into the teachings of Taoism, which I will later in the paper relate to the roles of adults and adolescences. I have chosen to relate this relationship to something that I have studied closely which is the yin and yang symbol and what is the meaning behind it. I hope to cover topics such as the philosophy of Taoism, parenting, and the different relationship the child can share with the parent.

Proposed thesis: By examining the philosophy of Taoism, the evolution of parenting, and how the parent’s role has become intertwined with the teen’s, it will become apparent that the relationship between Yin and Yang flawlessly expresses the desired relationship between the modern parent and child: both parent and child strive to create a relationship that is balanced, and both inevitably affect one another.

Outline for paper about why tobacco should be illegal

For my paper, I will take apart the tobacco companies and why they are taking advantage of our current society and destroying the general health of us all. I will use my personal experiences and studies that I have found to prove my point and why cigarettes should be illegal in the U.S.

Proposed thesis: Since smoking inflicts harm on civilians, who smoke and don’t smoke, there should be a law passed to ban smoking once and for all. Smoking tobacco should be illegal because smokers will become ill and so will their loved ones as a result. It is the government’s responsibility to protect the well-being of Americans and keeping cigarettes legal is doing just the opposite.
