Reflection

The definition of fake is not being genuine or being a counterfeit. In class, we took real topics and satirized it, but the issues can still be spotted. I think studio is the physical and seminar is the writing. We take what we observe in seminar like describing the portrait, or getting a deeper understanding of how society formed us, and write to help what we’re doing in studio. We then make a physical item or create something using what we discovered in seminar into studio.
Like in the magazine, we took what is beauty and satirized how much people would do to obtain to look better. When they apply the product, they immediately get their results. Everything is over exaggerated that it doesn’t look real, and even in reality, people do go through such extremes that they look unrealistic. And in our text, you can hear how ridiculous it sounds, but some people might actually do it.
In an another project in seminar, we wrote about how gender and stereotypes play a role in society, how others’ views change how a person look and act, and how their own views change themselves. Then in the photo-grids, I took close ups what I first think of when I think of feminine and masculine. There are certain features that people also think about when they think male vs. female, but they’re not necessarily true to everybody.
In the selfie dialogue, we are trying to break away from stereotypes, and society views. We attempted to make fun of the morning routine that women are anticipated to follow. People think that we spend hours doing our makeup and hair, even thought, according to them females are supposed wake up flawless.

There should be written captions on the images, giving context and relevance.
And a featured image to the post.
