identity essay

  1. Why do I act differently around different people(friends, family, strangers)?
  2. What actions do I perform that aren’t acts upon expectations and observation(stereotypical)?
  3. When others keep telling me  “that’s not how a lady should act” how much of that affected me?(What do I see myself do because of what others say?)

shake legs, serious, shy, lazy, messy, sitting in the back and just watch others

responding to expectations

1–looking at the person when talking and showing reactions vs. not looking and kind of listening look and no real “good response”

how i think others see me

Question:

Why do people act differently depending where they are and who they’re with? like what do I see myself do because of what others say?

photo technique: just thinking about the question and how to visually show it. crossed legs vs closed legs- people would always say sit straight, close your legs because it’s not pretty, or lady like.

part1-how others see me
