Passage- To move from space to space

Vessel- Open space, to contain

Threshold- Gradual/sudden exposure to light

Envelope- To be feel wrapped and surrounded, enclosed space

Experiential descriptions:

Threshold:

  1. You’re at the right, in open space. You approach the building, and then you’re being compressed by all sides from outside to inside. You can see light from the opposite side as you continue walking. If you turn, you enter a compression from inside to inside, from a lit room to a dark room. Continue walking, you start to ascend until you reach a flat surface above. Turning left, the light will gradually decrease as you get closer to the wall. Going back to the other side, there is another compression, but from inside to outside, from a slightly lit space, to an open space.
  2. You’re in open space and approaching the building. You’re being compressed from all sides from outside to inside. Walking to the other side, it gets darker. Turn left, there’s a compression from inside to inside, you will be in an even darker space. Descending, there’s still light from the entrance. Reaching a flat surface below, you continue walking. It gradually gets darker, and when you turn, a compression from inside to inside, into a darker room.

Passage:

  1. Entering from the left, you reach a compression from above, in front of an ascendance that is underneath part of the building, giving shade. You ascend until a flat surface, if you turn left, you will reach a half wall that will stop you from falling. As you enter the building, there’s a compression around you from outside to inside. Continue walking, you reach another ascendance. Ascending until you reach a flat surface, you continue to walk towards the light, reaching another compression from inside to outside. Now in open space from above, and another half wall to stop you from falling.
  2. From the left, you’re walking to an ascendance, and ascend until you reach a flat surface. At the top, you are being compressed from above, from the building. Continue walking, you are being compressed again from all sides from outside to inside. If you continue walking, there’s another compression from inside to outside. Continue walking, there’s a half wall that will stop you from falling. Going back inside, and start ascending until you reach a flat surface. Turning left, the space gets darker, and turning again, there’s another compression from inside to inside, into a darker room.

Vessel:

  1. Entering from the left in open space, there’s a compression around you, from outside to inside. Continue walking you enter another compression into an enclosed space. Descending until you reach the bottom, you walk out, and there’s a slight compression from above before the space expands into an open space and can see small light sources from the other side.
  2. From the left, there’s a compression around you, from outside to inside. Continue walking, there’s a slight compression from above before the space quickly expands high and far, and light shines from all around.

Envelope:

  1. Entering from the right, there’s a compression from outside to inside, then expands high from above. Continue walking, there more compressions to inside. Continue walking, to ascending, there’s another compression from inside to inside, and more compressions to inside if you keep walking.
  2. From the right, there’s a compression from outside to inside, and expands above. Continue walking, there’s another compression to inside. Ascending and onto a flat surface, to a compression to inside. Going back to the first compression, you can ascend to the top, and continue walking, there’s another compression to the inside.

Rules for 3d models:

Vessel- a containment with a feeling of openness

Passage- there’s always a way to move

Envelope- feeling surrounded and wrapped
