In my studio class we were placed into groups and created a work of art based on 9 11. The main idea behind the project was to focus on a perspective. My group decided to focus on the aftermath and the perceptive of the people. Our main idea was based on this idea of smoke. We thought that smoke played a significant role in the aftermath due to the fact it stayed around for days. The smoke was tangible and by the time the ash and the smoke disappeared people realized and comprehended the event that really happened. We created a mock up of what we would want our installation to be. We created a small smoke ring/ spiral structure made from wire, fabric, and paper. Ideally we would want it to be so large that it could wrap around a person to get them surround in it like the people who experienced it first hand. We would change the text where it would be more cohesive and large for the people to read it.
