Final Project

For my final project I designed a collection of seven surface design prints. While creating my prints, I was inspired by Stevie Wonder’s song “Don’t You Worry ‘Bout A Thing”. I loved at the Cooper Hewitt these amazing Jazz posters displayed, that were meant to take music into visual context. With my textiles, I wanted to evoke the happy, excited, and soothed feelings that I feel whenever I listen to the song. It is a latin style rock song saying that everything is going to be okay.  My prints are imagined to be used for beach attire like wrap skirts, swimsuits, and towels. I printed my surface designs on fabric as well made an illustration and collection layout.
