In considering our human tendency towards things in three and thirds, as discussed in the lecture, I immediately thought of how three is a common structure in belief systems. Three is the minimum number of components needed to establish a pattern, and because our entire understanding of reality is built on associations and patterns, it makes sense that our tools for understanding the unknowable would be framed by three-component systems. In my entry I did some research of these structures as well as some writing on my own threefold ideas.
