This week I did some more patchwork including screenprinting, monoprinting, embroidering, and painting. I also made these series of drawings that i want to incorporate into a big patch with all the characters interacting in a collaged textile. I also figured out my pattern pieces and dimensions as well as gathered all my necessary supplies. I will using 1/2″ eyelets lining the top of the piece of canvas for the wall, and 2″ metal jewelry hoops to attach the walls to a light up LED 34″ diameter hula hoop. The hula hoop will be suspended with rope in a cone shape, as the dimensions illustrate. I still need to figure out the exact dimensions for the top pattern piece. I plan to line the outside with a black and white striped fabric and hand sew with yarn at the edges of the wall. The top piece will just be the plain fabric with no canvas lining. I cut out my canvas for the lining and have been playing around with layout.
