Drawing the Imagination Final and Self Portrait assignment

For my Drawing final, I used acrylic on 8 by 10 in canvas boards to paint a surreal diptych. Previously, I had worked with surrealism in this class with our last project- surreal self portrait.

I played with hue, saturation and pattern to create a piece that seems to be realism in its detail, but is imaginary in its colors and background. For my final, I wanted to further explore this idea of surrealism by creating pieces that seemed even less realistic, and more colorful. In making a diptych, I wanted to illustrate an imagined space in which the 2 imagined characters exist simultaneously.
