Green NYC is a website for Union Square Farmer’s market, considering the social, economic and cultural aspects of the community. For our website, our goal is to make the consumers truly understand the reason why they choose to buy groceries at the farmer’s market instead of purchasing at regular grocery stores. In terms of the cultural aspects, we want consumers to have a greater perception and understanding of the stories behind the farmer’s market.
We want to invite them to their farms in a visual sense. Meanwhile, on our website, we will have information that would create lots of convenience for people by showing farms of the day, highlighting special and seasonal groceries of the day, and coming up with recipes from those organic groceries. Furthermore, we research and analyze the demographics of the people who usually come to the farmer’s market. All those things we do on this website are for making consumers understand the choices they make when they come to the farmer’s market. We try our best to empathize with the consumers’ needs.
