We Are Equal

The author wrote two things that happened in the bus in 1927 and 1943. During these years, the rights of the white people and the black people weren’t’t equal. Even on the bus, they were separated and the black people had to sit at the back. They were not treated as human beings, they were machines, slaves, and “walking meats”. This is so ridiculous in our view today, but most of the white people did think so in the past. Fortunately, there were still some white people who with consciences like the author. But in that context, even though they wanted to do something to help the black people, they didn’t have the power to fight against the society.

The situation is much more better now. The rights of the black people are protected. It is really really good.

We are equal.
