The Negative Space Outline Drawing of Leaves and Branches

Introduction

While taking the class of Drawing and Images, I was asked to draw the outline of leaves and branches.

Without details of the leaves’ inside and just simply drawing shadows outside made the whole picture more contrast.

Since I didn’t have to draw the inside details of the leaves and branches, I had to concentrate to the edge of this object. Any curve has to be right and detailed.

My Work

Original Drawing

This is the original photo I took from my drawing.

Photoshopped Drawings

These are the photos that I photoshopped from the original one. I simply adjusted the brightness, color temperature, and the contrast of it.

This is like a watercolor effect.

This is the small tree branch with leaves on it. I held the branch at this angle in order to make my drawing have a sense of depth.
