5 Personas
I created five personas and took a photo for each one using clothing, make up, and objects I already own. Theses five personas reflect some of my thoughts and ideas about myself and the world.
1. Daydreaming Nancy
Nancy‘s out of shape and she weighs a lot. This is because she stays in her room for a long time without doing exercise and often eats too much. But she began to admire the girls on Instagram and the make-up YouTubers online. But she was so desperate for her body, thinking she wouldn’t get slimmer and couldn’t keep doing exercise at all. She hated being so fat, but she just ate more in frustration. It’s a vicious circle. She downloaded some selfie apps, and only when she is taking selfies with them does she become what she wanted to be.
2. Dolley with a Rock Heart
Dolley is a girl who grew up with a strict upbringing. Her parents were very demanding and planned her future early. She really became a “good student”: obedient and good at study. She studied in a Girls High School and went on the life that had been planned for her. She is like a perfect doll, manipulated by her parents and lives a boring and monotonous life. But there is something inside her that belongs to her: rock and roll. She had no chance to learn guitar, but she loves to listen to rock n roll music. Every time she puts on her headphones and immerses herself in rock n roll, she seems to break away from the monotony of real life and become just herself. She could feel her soul strongly colored by it.
It’s her little world.
3. Cara the Dreamer
She is an unsuccessful violinist. Because the failure of her music career, she was drifted into the street. In the long night, standing under the only light at the gate, she opened her violin box and began to play melodious music. At this moment, she imagined herself standing under the spotlight of the stage, having her own recital. Only music could soothe her ravaged soul from reality.
The reality is cruel, but she still has a dream.
4. Supercool Zoe
Many people admire Zoe because she looks so cool. She has a model-like body and wears the style of a Tokyo girl. An oversize black jacket, black sun-top, miniskirt, black tights, and a tattoo on her left breast make her look supercool.
However, only Zoe knows how much she admires those who look ordinary but have very close friends. Perhaps she looks so cool that others are a little bit afraid of her. She is distressed that she did not find a close friend in college for two yea
When she saw the others sitting happily together, she felt that she was far away from them.
5. Jade the Idealist
Jade is a white-collar worker. Her mature and professional appearance enables her to show her elegance to the fullest. As a bank manager, she is a hard-nosed realist on the outside, but part of her inside is a naive little girl who believes that the world is beautiful and full of love.
As she held the newspaper full of bad news, the dog doll in the roadside pet shop caught her attention. They looked so lovely, as if insulated from the tragic reality.
