OBSERVING SELF: Time Map

My Day

I got up at eight in the morning, looked myself in the mirror, I seemed so tired that I decided to put on my make up. I put on my clothes and looked myself in the mirror again, I was much better now. So I had some milk and went out of my room with my drawing pad. I threw the garbage and started walking on the street. There are lots of cars on the street, people walking, so energetic. I saw my shadow under sunlight. Kept walking, I saw a dog lying under a bench out of a coffee shop, staring at the passengers, so I walked to him and said hi. He looked up at me with such lovely eyes that I touched his head and sit next to him. We started to stare at the passengers together, I opened my drawing pad and began to draw street scenes. After I finished, I said goodbye to him and kept walking. There were many police cars parked on the side of the road, which made me curious, so I took a closer look. Then I went to my drawing class and came back in the afternoon. I was exhausted after class, and on the way home I saw a nice window and took a picture of the scaffold. I went home and changed my clothes because I was sweating, and by this time I didn’t want to do anything but put on my headphones and I went home and changed my clothes because I was sweating, and by this time I had nothing to do but put on my headphones and immersed myself in music.

My Time Book

I recorded a 24-hour period of my life through a series of pictures. I affixed each photo to each left margin in each page of my Moleskine notebook and wrote some words on the right to record the moment. I skipped several blank pages to indicate the length of time between each image.

I flipped this book at a normal speed.

Due to some reason, I am not able to upload the SLO-MO of this.

Perceiving Time – Linear:

I laid out my photos across sheets of newsprint paper cut to a module of 8” x 24”.

This is the whole paper.

The separated version.
