Bridge 1: Memoir 100 Drawings

This March, I visited Hong Kong with my best friend. It was a time that I got accepted from London College of Fashion, and I wanted to reward myself for hard working. To me, Hong Kong was merely a metropolitan area in China, just like any other mega cities in the world. I got off from the double decker bus and stepped toward the Tsim Sha Tsui, an urban area in southern part of Kowloon. My first impression of Hong Kong was chaotic,  noisy, but most importantly, symphonic. Tall, significant skyscrapers were dominating the whole ground area, and thousands of people with different skin colors were walking along the street. Not only the state of the art architectures in Nathan Road, I also observed the traditional Hong Kong style buildings which seemed old and densely built. Countless taxies that were painted in iconic red were driving on the left side of the road, just like United Kingdom where I spent my previous six months. Everything seemed so fast paced in Hong Kong, but I could deeply relate to that exotic atmosphere that flew along the city.

After our trip that was planned for seven days, I decided to prolong my stay in Hong Kong. I wasn’t ready to leave while not fully experiencing what the city has to offer. Another reason was because I made so many great friends while I was there. They showed me all around and I loved spending time with them. I vividly remember one friend called Earnest. He was a friend of mine and we met one night at a party. He was friendly from the beginning, and I found myself falling for him at one point. We had a beautiful friendship all throughout the summer. Whenever I think about Hong Kong, the  first thing that comes in to my head is Earnest’s smiling face with a dimple on his cheek.
