When I thought about what I would share with someone who can’t be here to experience New York with me, I thought about my friends from home. They have been to New York before but if they were to visit I would want to take them to a few places to start with that I’ve enjoyed visiting myself. I decided to visit these places again to observe and draw the people that also love visiting them. I tried to capture who these people are however it was sometimes hard because they would walk by and then all I would have is my memory of how they looked. I eventually found it easier to try capturing people who were sitting because I could spend a bit more time observing them first. I love people watching so this was pretty easy for me, however I find it very difficult to capture humans through drawing. In my spare time I would much prefer to capture these people using a camera which made this more challenging.
