One Week’s Trash / Assessment & Creative Response

Briefly discuss what you noticed during the process of assessing your waste over one week. Anything illuminating and interesting? What did you learn about your lifestyle? Consumption?

-After collecting all my waste a little over a week, I realized that many of the items mostly contains “plastic.” (especially plastic bags)I thought about why many factories would instead use plastic as their primary wrapping material rather than something more eco-friendly and safer for our environment. Through my experiences on keeping on track on all the trash and waste that I created. I came up with consumption on how there is going to be a day when our plan

et, our home, our world, our environment could no longer handle us as living human anyway. “We” as a human might die from nature/environmental crisis. (Mostly if God was punished those un-sinners people who attend to church but then was dating someone as the same gender as themselves.)

*Tell us in which category you produced the most waste: Food, Clothing, Making/creating, or other

– Clothing (Women’s Crop Top)

*Tell us what material was your large
st category of waste: Plastic, Metal, Paper, Glass, Fiber, Styrofoam, Other?

– Plastic for sure!

*In your LP post, commit to ONE SOLUTION that can help you to diminish personal waste this semester. (always having a canvas bag for shopping to reduce plastic bags, carrying a reusable coffee mug to reduce disposable cups and lids, etc)

Solution: Things I can do to dimish my personal waste this semester is try not to drink things from the restaurant, try not to go shopping that often, and try using organic materials. (or get a re-usable cup)

Three Bullet Points:

  • school/making – clothing – Food consumption
  • Plastic – food – papper
  • The exercise brings the awareness of how human compose tons of “trash” daily. Makes me sad and wanting to do something to safe the world. (By using less plastic and paper throughout the rest of the semester and so on.
