Carrot Cities across Continents.
Design Innovation in Urban Agriculture since 2010
Tuesday 21 February 2017
5:30 PM – 80 5th Ave, Room 529
The Carrot City: Designing for Urban Agriculture exhibit opened at the Parsons gallery in the Fall of 2010, the first time it was displayed after the inaugural show in Toronto. Since then, Carrot City has traveled to over two dozen cities in 14 countries across the globe. In that time, numerous new examples of design for urban agriculture have been implemented in all continents – some of them documented by the ongoing initiative (www.carrotcity.org).
Joe Nasr and June Komisar, two of the creators of Carrot City will examine recent design trends for urban agriculture as reflected in innovative cases from five continents, all of them realized since 2010.
