Buttons 5x6x30

  1. My research paper looks into the work of Andy Warhol, and asking the question of whether or not his work and his relationship to his works considering his persona qualifies him as a brand as much as he is an artist. The project will consist of hand-painted buttons made in the 2 point perspective on newsprint. These buttons will be produced in a similar factory style to how Warhol created his works, but without the screen.
    • I have 3 weeks to make 25 of these works, each of which including 30 hand-painted buttons, so I’ll have to make around 8 works per week.
    • I have all the materials I need which includes, white, black, and red paint, as well as newsprint pads and paintbrushes.
    • Each work is 18 x 36
  2. Supporting imagery such as color samples, materials samples, art or cultural resources
