Project #5: Sequential Narrative

My sequential narrative is a playful take on a child’s aspirations. It depicts a rocket launching and proceeding to fly around planets, but ends up in a child’s hand, in a room filled with space-themed decorations. This is supposed to show a transformation from the vivid imagination of a child to her reality. The first panel, depicting the rocket launching, subtly hints at the child’s reality by including lego blocks as the launchpad. The narrative is drawn using a rough brush to reflect the messy vitality of childhood and allude to a child’s colouring book.
