Bit by bit

a wary other world emerges.

Figurative elements establish

a story of her.

Shes moved

the world over.

A history linked by countries

like a sea retracing its tide.

Both American and Ukrainian

but with a European context.

She loves fashion

in form and function

The notion of creating fantasies

and fashion in all its origins.

Questions like

“Why does the Man dress up?”

Shes worried.

A scrabble of questions

like mass motived hordes

waltz themselves around

and just don’t stop.

She laughs.

At the thought of being a lady in the city.

“A townhouse just doesn’t cut it,”

said grimly with her tiny child,

going about their business.

“Would you change anything?” I questioned.

She said no.

Shes content with

where she is

and where she is going.

Roads meeting like a converging stream

perhaps to meet the sea.
