ASSIGNMENT #6 – Design Process book summary

In this chapter, there is a discussion about the constrains and obstacles in the design process. The process also reaches farther and makes for a complex conversation within the book. There are first many components and this makes for many issues surrounding these components. However, they are seen as not only able to be worked around but also to be worked with. To incorporate and collaborate with the limitations, embracing instead of casting aside can lead to a more effective and more successful design process. This was probably the biggest part of the reading that I pulled out. Seeing the complexity of constrains in one photo, brought to light things I knew existed but hadn’t considered in the process. It was almost looking a map for common sense, in that it showcased how to work with every day problems in design. But most importantly it showcased how to work with these problem and in consideration of others who are part of this intertwined and complex system or strategies.
