Day One:
As I was walking to school, I realized that many of the stores have repetitive logos: the main logo above the store, a smaller/simplified on the window, another on a promotion board. I wondered why. Why would they need to have more than one logo? Isn’t that one big logo enough for everyone to notice that it is a coffee shop? or a cosmetic store?
Day Two:
In the UC, there are a lot of posters tacked onto the wall near the staircase. With so many on the board I wonder if anyone reads it.
Day Three:
On many streets, people have found public surfaces to vandalize, but also to promote their company or store discounts. I walked pass a mail box and it was covered from head to toe.
Day Four:
I was watching 2 Broke girls when ads constantly pop up in front of the tv show. They are all in relation to “how to lose weight” or here are some girls that you may be interested in. Both scarring and fustrating, the ad’s image is embedded into my long term memory.
Day Five:
There are so many big banners and posters above buildings when I walked downtown towards Chinatown. They all have natural elements to it such as the sea, the lake and so on
Day Six:
Realizing that I have way too many tabs opened: facebook, whatsapp, 3 tv shows, canvas, 2 emails, rent apartments, and so on. It made me realize how far our society has gone in terms of stressing on efficiency and having to always be productive and at the top of everything. Isn’t that stressful?
Day Seven:
I haven’t really noticed this before but a lot of the stores wants you to put the merchandise in a bag due to promotion on the street. At least that’s what I think they want to do, since I only had one tub of yogurt and a bag of apple rings and they insisted to put them in a bag. Or maybe they are just being kind human beings,
