Some of the design for the dress is inspired by the research I did for my seminar essay. For instance, I chose the tight maxi skirt because when I read the article about fashion bloggers and fashion trends notice that the maxi tight skirt actually matches the current trend. I may say that my work actually can represent my growth in fashion in this semester. When I decided the lighting and camera angle, I tried my best to show different views and details of my ensembles. I chose the spaces and setting that can represent myself. For the chapter1, I chose some art works as the background because I wanted to use it to represent my love of art and the reason why I chose Parsons. For the chapter2, the geometric shapes and lines can represent my favourite style after I entered Parsons, which is simplism. The chapter3 is actually the chair of a coffee shop I often go to at Parsons. The chapter4 shows the BLICK Material store which is the place I often go to at Parsons too. For the chapter5, I chose the University Center as the background as the conclusion for my first year. Parsons is already a part of my life. My photo shoot is really casual because I was inspired by the street photoshoots.
