My first idea has to do with recording memories through the phone/camera. While swiping through my phone I was instantly draws to my photos. The recent pictures where taken in my hometown, Lima, and it was very nostalgic to go through them, especially right now that I just came back to NY. So I thought that the zine could serve the purpose of calming that nostalgia and have a relaxing and soothing feeling on the reader. I thought of doing it mainly about different colors and textures, with cutouts and an architectural kind of form. I would also like to include some sort of text, I don’t know what kind yet. Maybe poems? the textures and colors would be inspired or taken from the pictures I can find on my phone.

The second idea was to show the difference between the person we portray on social media, and who we normally are. I think this distinction can be very apparent if we compare the picture uploaded and the ones saved on the camera roll. So the zine would mainly focus on comparing and contrasting the two sides to one person, and how deceiving social media accounts can be.
