I thought that the media center was an interesting and innovative space to work. I like the fact that people can be very collaborative and share their thoughts and ideas throughout their work progress in that kind of workspace. There were also many different resources in the space such as a podcast recording room, a library, a cafe, and a conference room. I would personally have liked it if the space was lit better with more natural lighting like it did in the cafe. Natural lighting creates a more fresh and open environment and I personally just don’t like harsh white lights. Also, if the furniture was more consistent, dynamic, and had a certain theme to the entire place, the whole media center would stand out more. The price was also a bit too high for what it offered, but I think it is still a good resource for those who want to work with others that work in the same field, and if they can afford it. Furthermore, I really enjoyed the podcast speaker’s talk because I’m not one who listens to podcasts often so it was quite insightful to hear someone talk about one. He seemed really passionate and educated in what he was doing and what his podcasts were about. He also seemed really confident and very willing in terms of sharing his works and introducing us to the type of podcast he makes. I also thought that the project the other speaker talked to us about was very unique. She talked about miniatures and the people that made them. The video had a humor that made me want to watch more.
