I Don’t Even Know Who I Am

I am Fée Brandt.

If you ask me where my home is, I will be tongue-twisted, because I don’t know, or I’d say I can’t pick.

My family is consisted of both German and Chinese cultures. I spent my childhood in Paris and moved to Shanghai for 10 years. Unbelievably, A week ago, I just moved to New York City and will live here for the next 4 years or more, although this is only the 3rd time I’ve been to NYC.

I made my first piece of artwork when I was only 8 months old and I knew I want to go into the field of art since I started knowing things. “Art” is broad and I am willing to try every forms of art. I draw, act, write, sing, dance and more in the future. Works I have done are mosly arts that contains multiple areas of knowledge.

I want to figure out a way or a future career that crosses the line between different forms of art, such as an interesting combination of Drama and Design. I am looking forward to the times I spend in Parsons that will guide me to figure out who I am because I am still exploring who I am.

I heard the Arts are a field that is hard to depend on for living, but I am strangely very excited about this “dangerous” field. I wanted to travel to Japan and find my roots of inspiration after I graduate, and maybe become an animation artist, or a musical actress, or maybe working on an innovative job that does not exist right now but will be created in the future by potential innovators.
