On Tuesday, Sept. 10, writer Dina Nayeri visited Lang’s craft-lesson lunches to participate in a conversation with our own Olga Breydo. They discussed Dina’s new book, The Ungrateful Refugee: What Immigrants Never Tell You. The conversation was wide-ranging and inspiring and provided deep insight into the questions surrounding migration. The book began as the 2017 Guardian essay, “The Ungrateful Refugee,” which has a central place in Olga’s class Immigrant Voices. Dina joined us immediately following her appearance on Brian Lehrer’s WNYC show, and you can get a sense of the book and what she talked about with Olga if you listen to her appearance.
