A pattern that uses actual items: The Americana Print, Manhattan, 1925 by Clayton Knight. Uses buildings to create a pattern by arrange them in different ways.

A patterns that is abstract: “Electric” Pattern, 1930 by Ruth Reeves. Using different shapes, coloring and position to create a pattern.

A patter that doesn’t work by itself: Textile, fan, 1985 by These Maas. A fan by itself would be kinda boring and pointless but when arrange in a pattern style with multiple fans makes it more interesting.

A culture pattern: Ribbons, 1925 by Herman A. Elsberg. It is cultural because it is a French pattern of a rose and France is now to bye the most romantic country there is and a rose is usually associated with love.
