Bridge project1

1. What was your favorite part of this project? Why?

My favorite part of this project is the process I transform my idea into 3D object. It’s hard to

decide in which way I can tell my story clearly. It needs to relate to the story and also has deeper

meaning. I decided to do fabric collage, because fabric is an important factor in my story.

2. What was most challenging about this project? Why?

Sewing the fabrics. I always cannot figure out how t ouse the sewing machine in the making

center. I hand-sewed the fabrics afterwards.

3. What did you learn by completing this project?

I learned that without any words, a memory could also be conveyed.

4. What do you think is most successful about this project?

The most successful part is that by doing this assignment, I really think about my memory and

learn from it. Sometimes things happened and we just let it go. Although it’s a memory, but we

could not see anything further in it. By doing this project, I digged out my memory, found

something new and learned a lot.

5. What might you could do to improve this project if you had more time?

The details. If I had more time, I would enhance the details in my fabric collage, so that I can

show some more perspectives in my story.

6. How do you think your instructor could improve this assignment?

I think maybe my instructor could guide me to complete this assignment by using different tools.

Since I’m planning to do Fashion Design, the first thing come to my mind when I need to

represent things in 3D is fabric. However, I would like to learn multiple ways to express my

stories and convey my ideas. So I’m willing to learn many different skills and tools to do my

assignments.
