Feedback Loop + Diagram

My feedback loop diagram here focuses on the three main elements of combating climate change in urban cities – Hazards (Inflow), City’s Vulnerability (Stock) and Adaptive Capacity (Outflow). The purpose of this system is to keep the stock as low as possible. The inflow of Hazards increases the City’s Vulnerability, which in turn, increases the Adaptive Capacity. However, a feedback loop also occurs between the stock and the outflow. The Adaptive Capacity can possibly control the City’s Vulnerability despite the unpredictable inflow of Hazards. Here, the Adaptive Capacity then becomes both the outflow and the inflow of the stock. This forms a positive reinforcing loop, as drawn above.
