Project 4 is a self-directed project. We could make any object, which must contain the headdress (Project 3) in its collapsed state.

Headdress from project 3:
Vision and Goals
The object must do at least two other things or have at least two “surprises” in its construction – what it can do or how it contains.
Sketch
Surprise 1
The piece is collapsible too.
Surprise 2
The piece is also a headpiece, while containing the headpiece from project 3, which makes it a headpiece in a headpiece.
Making Process
I cut strips of fabric, and sew them together to create a retractable structure. The strips go from big to small, with a 1cm difference each time.
Initially, I made this to be worn by the head, but I thought about how I have to contain the headdress, so I decided to use it to contain the headdress, and make a second piece to be worn by the head.
3D-Printed Clasp
I needed a clasped to secure the headdress properly in place, so I designed a clasp on Rhino and 3D-printed it in gold. The material used was PLA – a biodegradable corn plastic.
