Gathering Data For my research

Since my issue is Pollution, I want to find out more about how often people use bikes as a form of transportation. By doing that, I have mapped out all the Citibike stops, as well as all the areas I saw people on bikes.
I did by adding labels on the map of bikes to represent people riding bikes, and I marked CitiBikes all over Chelsea.  The most helpful way of looking at these issues is looking at the whole area of Chelsea and labeling all the Citibikes in the area. The amount of Citibike stops is important because the more there is, the more it will encourage people to ride bikes. By labeling the areas of people ride bikes the most is also helpful as it keeps track of how many people do use bikes as a form of transportation.
Since the number one cause of air pollution in New York is caused by vehicles, it is critical to find out how many people use Bikes, or other healthier forms of transportation that are safe for the environment. Recycling is also another critical aspect because of the amount of waste in the area. It is important for recycling to be held in new york as there is a lot of waste in the city. In order to understand how much recycling is taken seriously in the area, I have labeled Recycling bins that I came across to know have an idea of how much recycling is taking place.

This is a map that shows the locations of all the Citibikes in Manhattan. I aimed to locate ” The Clean Air Project ” in the same areas, if not more, as Citibikes are located. This will make it convenient for everyone to have spaces where they can park their bikes.
