Int. Studio Assignment 6

If my project turned out to be very successful, it would mean that I have made a significant achievement and made a tremendous impact not only on the people but also for the environment. My definition of success, I would say, is if I achieved my goal, and my goal is to help save the environment and decrease air pollution, and by doing that I will have people customize their bikes in a fun way that would fit their lifestyle, and that would be their form of transportation or even shelter. My project would be successful if more people react to it because it is aimed at the general public, and the more people get involved, the better for the environment, if, hypothetically, people start using these bikes instead of vehicles. It would be successful if people wanted to take the poster home because that means they enjoyed the project and that way they can have options to design their own bike. This project doesn’t work as an art piece exactly, so it wouldn’t be hung in an exhibition, but it works as a fun and creative way for people to customize their bikes. Having people think twice before paying for transit will definitely make the project more successful because that would mean it raised awareness, which is, also the aim of this project.

To measure this project’s success, a small survey can be carried out where I will be asking them how helpful is this project is for developing their ideal bike that would fit their lifestyle, and if this can stop them from using vehicles as transportation. Keeping track of the number of people I interacted with does give me a glimpse of different perspectives in ideal bikes.

Questions:

  • By participating in this fun activity, would you say any of these was your ideal bike?
  • Could you see yourself using this bike as your form of transportation? If no, why?
