For this project, we are using plaster to create a structure that based on our first project in space and materiality, which is using the parabolic curve to design a structure. This project teaches us how to turn a two-dimension design into a three-dimension.
Tools that I use:
- Sketch paper
- Form core board
- Plaster
- Water
- Plastic bin
- Utility Knife
- Sandpaper
- Tape
Stages:
- I use the form board to cut out the shape that I want and tape the structure that I made together.
- Then I mix the plaster and pour it on to the mod that I made.
- After the plaster is completely dry, I tear down the plastic foam core.
- Finally, I use sandpaper to make the surface nice and smooth.

Final Piece:
For my future work, if I do something with the plaster, I will put it on more gentle so that I don’t need to spend that much time to sand it and make it smooth. I will like to make more model using the plaster because I think it was challenging and fun at the same time.
