Foster Care Parent Act

This memo explores some of the causes and contributing factors that result in children entering the foster care system, outlines the concerns, and concludes by recommending an enforcement of the legal guardianship of a child by imposing stricter qualifications for foster parents in training, as well as a long term method in developing the right candidate for the care of the child.

 

The foster care system is a sought refuge for a majority of children in the U.S. The cause of this system to grow is due to recurrent domestic violence, drugs, alcohol abuse that form a detrimental environment for a child to inhabit. Poverty is embedded in the system in terms of families with unfavorable income, though the government funds foster care systems to fund families who are reliable guardians to nurture and protect the children, unfortunately, money corrupts the whole purpose of the system, negligence and exploitation is a common issue that has been reported.

POLICY

 

  1.   Transaction Display

This policy will allow authorities in the system to access the transactions of legal guardians in foster care. The money that is funded will be solely for the purpose of providing the necessary needs for a child. In implementing this disclosure this will exhibit the validation of the children’s care. This policy will take effect with the the government’s action in tracking the flow of money regularly.  

 

  1. Execution of Training Procedures

The training of foster parent candidates must prevail for 1 – 2 years to a sure a responsible legal guardianship and legitimately affirm the individual’s ethical devotion to fostering a child. A certification shall be given to the fully qualified individual in executing the required training.
