Our project began with learning about one and two point perspectives. For my project, I decided on doing a two point perspective drawing of the room near the elevators on floor eight. However, I found that my eye level was too high for what an average person would be seeing at.
The drawing was scanned and vectored in Illustrator. I made the different blocks in bright colors to separate them.
We created a moodboard for our room. I went with the mostly pink shades I enjoy using and placed images from movies as well as L.A. in a collage format.
The final room took around 6 hours to finish, with various images from different sources added in. For things such as the walls, roof, floor, and wooden beams, I made the object first then wrapped a texture around it. For the various objects in the room, I added a shadow with a layer filled with black, then erased with a soft brush to create the feathering of a shadow.
The symbols from the previous project were added onto the shoe rack table as a vegetable assortment as they fit the colors of the painting.
The room on the side was an image that I added in a one point perspective as I perceived it to be when sketching out the original drawing.
The tiles and wooden beams were individually transformed for different angles.
Jamie, I really enjoy seeing your process unfold.
