MAD Museum

During our trip to the Museum of Arts and Design, we looked through exhibitions of artists who explored the interaction of sound with body and space through art.  I chose to focus on Arjen Noordeman and Christie Wright’s collection, Audiowear, which showcased a number of acoustic jewelry.

This specific piece, the “Rattle Bracelet,”  is meant to be worn around the wrist and with every movement, it creates a rattle, faint but distinct.  I can tell that each “diamond” holds beads or pieces that create the sound.  I illustrated the sound in this manner because to hear the sound clearly, it seems like you need to shake it distinctly, and I can hear multiple short small things that create this larger sound.
