Becoming Non-Human

Observation:

Trees and “islands” of grass are far apart and divided by the concrete paths.  There are always a lot of people and dogs passing through which could be difficult and dangerous for squirrels to get around.

Proposal:

Paths underground built throughout the entire park, providing safe and effective passage for the squirrels.  The top can be clear so that the people above ground can still view the squirrels and their activities.  A chute can be implemented near food cart vendors so leftover waste (food) can be offered to the squirrels.  These passageways can also be used as spaces for nesting and burrowing, protecting newborns from the harsh weather/preying birds.
