During this process I was studying geometric shapes to better understand how pieces go together and fit. When working on this protect I really seemed to struggles with binding process. At first I has thought it would be easy to work with the materials but after not being able to work with glue to had to find other methods to add them together. this proved challenging as the shapes I chose to make where small in size, due to that The ability to find binding methods that worked smoothly was not easy. When working on creating my shapes I was able to use all reclaimed materials. due to this i was happy with the fact that I was able to accomplish. this protect with out having to spend money. after finish this project I was able to strengthen my understand how how materials can come together. this is due the brief of the assignment I had to use both 2D and 3D materials to create my shape. this pushed me to find a creative way to take the shapes I had to work with and bring new life from it. I now feel that I am able to tackle protects of all shapes and sizes due to the fact on how hard it was to bring all the pieces together. when looking at my reading Flat land a quote that really stuck out to me was “Doubtless we cannot see that other higher Spaceland now, because we have no eye in our stomachs.” It talks about the ability to understand and see what the general public cant. I kinda understood this as the same thing I have worked on with my protect. for example the different shapes with in shapes for me acts as the different dimensions seen in the book. this for me is how I made a connection to the book. by how to shapes all interact with each other, yet they are all individual and act on there own.
