Gun Control: Shooting in Florida

In February 14th, 2018, a mass shooting happened at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Miami, Florida. 17 people died and 14 were hurt in that day, which made it the deadliest high school shooting in American. The criminal was a student from that school, who is only 19-year-old, Nicolas Cruz. He used to be a student in that school, but he got expelled because of violations. Others describe him as an isolated, cranky and gun-loving person. he also had threatened classmates at school. This is the 18th school shooting in the United States in 2018, the youngest victim was only 14.

So the question is: should people own guns? Or should we have a stricter gun control policy? The answer to the question of gun control will be different from person to person. Some people believe it is better to abolish the right to own a gun, while others think it should be allowed. And I believe that more people are somewhere in between, since a powerful weapon always give people a strong sense of safety, or being protected. Even though they know that maybe at the next moment, the muzzle will turn around to themselves.

Gun control is already been mentioned lots of times. In family violence, about 50 women per month will be killed by a gun by their family in the United States. I think It is more likely the impulsion cause their death. If there were no guns, they might survive.

But what if there are no more guns in the world? Maybe all the guns on earth would vanish into nothing and never be found again, which all the above arguments would suddenly come to an end. What would the world be like?
A gun can’t magically disappear, and the death cannot bring back in life. it is time for people to rationally think about what we would gain and what we would lose if we did have fewer guns.
