For my final project I decided to look into the Japanese culture, more importantly the samurai culture and create a wearable inspired by them. The instruction was to uses recyclable materials so I decided to use plastic bags as the main material for the Jacket. I melted plastic bags together by placing them under a piece of paper. Melting them together gave them a stronger and firmer look at the same time made it look almost like leather. I used two plastic bottles as well. they acted as the protection for the sides of the arms based of the protective gear of the samurai.
