This art piece was created to pay homage to my high school teacher, Miss Ruba. She encouraged me to take Ap studio art and was my mentor in art throughout my high school career. Unfortunately, she abruptly left the school the first term of my senior year after helping me create my portfolio. It was a sad moment for me especially considering the fact she helped me get into all the schools i applied to. This sculpture, made out of plasticine in an alginate mold, is my way of thanking her for everything she’s done to help me.
